Trip to Petnica

On the 15th of April, we went to Petnica near Valjevo. There is a science center where we went. We left at 7:30; there were students from lower secondary year 7 to 9 with their tutors and also students from upper secondary year 10 to 13 who are taking science with science teachers.

Approximately at 10 o’clock we got to the science center, we gathered all in the center and then we had the introduction speech about the different scientific activities of this center. We followed our guides to see the structure of the science centre, after that we bought snacks and rested for a while. At first, our group went to the Geology class. We learnt about the different studies of Geology, then we made an experiment about which kind of water conducts the most electricity, we also saw some different kinds of rocks and minerals. The next class we had was Biology where we learnt about the different invertebrate living in water, and also looked at it with the microscope. After the second class we had lunch in lunch area and it was very tasty. The third class was physics; we first talked about the dinosaurs and asteroids and then about the first black hole that has been taken a picture, and the structure of the black hole.

It was time to go home and at 7 o’clock in the afternoon we arrived. This trip was fantastic. I hope we will go to Petnica again.
