Freddie Mercury
Freddie Mercury was a British singer-songwriter and record producer, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Queen, he was born on September 5th , 1946 . He is considered as one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music, and was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range.
His birth name was Farrokh Bulsara. Farrokh Bulsara started going by Freddie when he was at St. Peter's, a boarding school for boys near Mumbai. He legally changed his name to Freddie Mercury around 1970, when Queen was formed.
Mercury was born in Stone Town, Zanzibar (now Tanzania). He grew up between Zanzibar and India before moving to Middlesex, England when he was a teenager.
He designed the Queen emblem, A.K.A. The Queen Crest. Because of his degree in art and graphic design from Ealing Art College, Mercury was able to do more than to be just the face of the band—he also helped to brand them.
Freddie Mercury and his manager issued a statement confirming that he had AIDS the very day before he died. It had been broadly speculated for a couple of years due to his gaunt appearance and Queen's sudden lack of touring. Some people were very upset by this delayed statement, saying that an earlier announcement could’ve raised a huge amount of money for the cause.

The music of Mercury's band, Queen, reached the top of U.S. and British charts. Mercury died of AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia on November 24, 1991, at the age of 45.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a 2018 biographical film about the British rock band Queen. It follows singer Freddie Mercury's life, leading to Queen's Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium in 1985. Directed by Bryan Singer, it is written by Anthony McCarten, and produced by Graham King and former Queen manager Jim Beach. It stars Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. Bohemian Rhapsody was announced in 2010, with Sacha Baron Cohen cast as Mercury. After Baron Cohen left the project in 2013 following creative differences with producers, the project languished for several years before Malek was cast in November 2016. Principal photography began in London in September 2017 with Singer as director. In December 2017, Singer was fired for absence and clashing with the cast and crew, and Dexter Fletcher was hired to complete the film. Singer retained sole director credit as per DGA guidelines, while Fletcher received an executive producer credit. Filming concluded in January 2018. Bohemian Rhapsody was released in the United Kingdom on 24 October 2018 and in the United States on 2 November 2018, and has earned over $472 million worldwide on a production budget of about $50 million. It is the highest-grossing musical biographical film of all time.
