ART AUCTION

On Thursday, the 8th of November, PRIMA International School held its annual charity auction; Cookies and Art with a Heart. The auction was held in an effort to sell artwork and baked goods made by PRIMA’s own students and raise money for Marija Milutinov, a 10 year old girl suffering from cerebral palsy. PRIMA International School students worked tirelessly in the weeks leading up to the auction. They strived to put not only their talent into the artwork they produced but also their hearts, capturing the true spirit of the auction. The artwork ranged from drawings and paintings to sculptures and pottery, every piece reflecting the uniqueness of the student behind it. The auction also offered a selection of baked goods made by students’ parents, the proceeds also going toward helping Marija.

Cerebral Palsy is a condition marked by impaired muscle coordination (spastic paralysis) and other disabilities, typically caused by damage to the brain before or at birth. Treatment often involves multiple doctor’s appointments and physical therapy sessions. PRIMA International School is incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to make treatment more attainable for Marija. With the spectacular effort made by students and staff alike, PRIMA International School raised over four thousand euros at this year’s auction. We are so grateful to have been able to help and are hopeful that Marija will have a happy and fulfilling future.
