It can vary from person to person as to how they feel about a meme. They can inspire and help us see the world through someone else’s eyes in a way. They also help us understand (or try to understand) other people’s humour, which is a skill you may need in your daily life when getting to know new people. Whether it is in a work environment or in public, memes can bring people from different countries and cultures together.
Memes are a very good way to express yourself online on different platforms. Many trends revolved around memes and some still do. Memes can have an expiry date, though – it is usually up to the community to decide when it is just no longer funny to use a certain joke (please stop with the moth memes...). In my opinion, you can use any meme, as long as you use it at the correct time and appropriately (but please, no more moth memes).
Although memes have their pros, watch every now and then as it can become an addiction (I have been there, so my advice is – better watch out). On the bright side, memes can help people embrace their creativity and apply it in their daily lives. They can also make you question random and useless things such as: is it possible that your reflection is blocking you from passing into the mirror??? Memes are great at cheering up individuals (call me if you got the expresso depresso, I will be there for you). The real beauty of memes, in my opinion, lies in the way they bring people together from all over the world.
