Harvest Festival

Every year we have a Harvest Festival in our school. This is the time of year when all the crops have been harvested. Harvest Festival is a celebration of the food grown on the land.

Thanksgiving ceremonies and celebrations for a successful harvest are both worldwide and very ancient. In Britain, for example people have given thanks for successful harvests since pagan times. People celebrate this day by singing, praying and decorating school and churches with baskets of fruit and food in a festival known as 'Harvest Festival',

The harvest season is the time of the year, in which we can enjoy the fruits of our hard work. Since none of us is working in the fields, but we do strongly appreciate tradition and the hard work and we are grateful for the fruits of the earth that we get - we have symbolically designated the season with lovely decorations all over the school.
