Around Town Events

During the cold December days many would prefer to stay in their warm beds, but if you want to get out and experience the cultural side of Belgrade, here are some suggestions about how you can overcome winter blues and spend your winter time in the Serbian capital.

Music

On Friday 23rd December a “Bestbeat” concert will be held in Dom Omladine. “Bestbeat” is a tribute band of “The Beatles”. They will mostly play songs from the popular album “Revolver”. Tickets are 500din and are available over the EVENTIM network.

If you prefer a different sound, you can enjoy the December Jazz festival in Kulturni Centar Beograda.

Exhibits

Jazz lovers can also enjoy a photography exhibit in Dom Omladine. The theme of the exhibit is called “Beogradski Džez festivali 2005-2015” or “Belgrade Jazz festivals 2005-2015”. The author, Stanislav Milojkovic tried to capture the atmosphere of Jazz festivals held in the previous 10 years.

On a more serious note, Cervantes institute has an exhibit called “Emergency exit” from 15.01.2017.- 30.03.2017. Through his photographs Spanish photographer, Marcos Moreno shows the tragedies immigrants face when trying to cross the Gibraltar strait.
