Prima Christmas Bazaar 2016

Every year PRIMA International School of Belgrade holds several special events. The Christmas Bazaar has been a yearly tradition for many years.

Last Saturday PRIMA was transformed from an academic center into a festive fair. With countless vendors, delicious snacks and a kids’ corner the bazaar was the perfect way to spend Saturday; as well for our students as for their parents and other parents, whose children could enjoy their time in our rooms that day.

The ground floor in tradition remained a cafeteria where guests could come and buy pizza, delicious pastries and other treats. For the parents there was an option of some lovely mulled wine while the kids enjoyed some hot chocolate.

If you had some Christmas shopping left to go, the bazaar was perfect as the entire primary floor (the first floor of our school) was filled with vendors. There was a variety of shoes, cosmetics, toys, clothes and other goodies to choose from to complete your Christmas list.

The real treat was the secondary floor (the second floor of our school building) which played host to a large kids’ corner. There were many arts and crafts activities the children could do. For example, they had “make and take” corner, where they could make their own Christmas decoration and take this piece of art home. That made our little friends really proud of themselves. Among this there was also a henna stand, a face paint stand and other kids’ related activities.

The atmosphere was at its best, when our principle Ms B announced the School Christmas Play. Primary students and a few secondary ones put a lovely version of how the Grinch stole Christmas that visitors didn’t mind staying out in the cold to watch. After the performance the raffle prizes were announced which was the most exciting part of the day.

We believe that the Christmas Bazaar was a very nice and fun way to finish this semester and this calendar year. Now we are full of optimism and ready for the New Year’s decisions, expectations and obligations.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our team!
